Tip: Smart ink gives clean filled pen lines. Topographic keeps the most shading detail. Raise Detail for finer lines.

Frequently asked questions

What is Linegild?

Linegild is a browser tool that turns an image into clean line art, recolors it in gold, silver, copper, chrome, neon and many other finishes, and exports SVG, PNG or MP4 video. It also makes layered, single-layer cut and laser files.

Do my images leave my device?

No. Your images are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. Only the license check and the export counter talk to our server.

Is Linegild free? What do I get before paying?

Every tool is free to use and preview. You get 5 free exports per device every 30 days. An export is a download of an SVG, PNG or video, or copying the SVG code. A fair-use limit per network also applies.

What does PRO cost and what does it include?

PRO is $20 per month through Gumroad. It gives unlimited exports on up to 3 devices and the production files: layered cut files, single-layer cut files and laser files.

How do I activate PRO?

Buy PRO on Gumroad, copy the license key from the receipt email, open the PRO window in Linegild and paste it. PRO lasts 30 days from the purchase date and renews with your Gumroad subscription.

I lost my key or cleared my browser. What now?

If you only cleared site data, PRO comes back by itself when you open Linegild again. If you deleted all cookies, paste the key again: it is in your Gumroad receipt email and in your Gumroad library. Still stuck? Write to support@multiproductx.com.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Yes, through Gumroad. If you cancel, PRO stays active until the end of the paid period. A refund ends PRO on all devices.

Which file formats can I export?

SVG (animated, static or stock-safe), PNG at 720, 1080, 4K or 8K (long side), and MP4 video for Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn. PRO adds layered, single-layer cut and laser SVG files.

Can I use the files on stock marketplaces?

The stock-safe export removes filters and animation, redraws glow as plain vector layers and adds a large JPEG preview. Marketplace rules change and differ, so always read each marketplace's current rules. We cannot promise acceptance.

Do the cut and laser files work with my machine?

They use common conventions: flat colors, one layer per color, red hairline for cutting and black fill for engraving on laser files. Machines and software differ and the files are not certified for any brand, so run a small test job first.

Which images give the best line art?

Clean scans, ink sketches, logos and drawings work best. For photos and paintings try the Sketch or Pen methods and raise Detail. Multicolor mode keeps the colors of your art. Only use images you own or have the right to use.

Which browser should I use?

Chrome or Edge on a computer give the best results, and are needed for video. 8K PNG needs a powerful computer: on phones choose 4K or 1080.

How do I report a bug or suggest an idea?
